Montréal, July 22, 2026 – La Vallée du Richelieu Golf Club hosted Golf Québec’s Provincial Bantam, Pee-Wee and Mosquito Championship on July 20 and 21. A total of 123 young golfers took part in the competition, which showcased the next generation of golf talent in Québec.

 

Participants competed across six divisions: mosquito girls and boys (ages 9–10), pee-wee girls and boys (ages 11–12), and bantam girls and boys (ages 13–14).

 

The mosquito division medals were awarded at the conclusion of the first day of competition. In the girls’ division, Ziqi Tan (Public Golfer Program) claimed top honours, while Alexandre Gagnon (Saint-Prime-sur-le-Lac) prevailed in the boys’ division.

 

In the pee-wee division, Amy Ma (Parcours du Cerf) successfully defended the provincial title she won in 2025, completing the tournament with a cumulative score of +11 (155). In the boys’ division, Rafael Dagenais (Vallée du Richelieu) earned top honours with a score of +2 (146).

 

In the bantam division, Victoria Massé (Le Blainvillier) captured the girls’ title with a cumulative score of +8 (152). In the boys’ division, Adam Lauzon (Vallée du Richelieu) delivered an outstanding performance, finishing the championship with an impressive cumulative score of -7 (137).

 

On the Road to the Canadian U15 Championship
The Provincial Championship also served as a qualifier for the Canadian U15 Championship. Following the competition, Victoria Massé and Isahak Kelechian were selected to represent Golf Québec at the event, which will take place from August 25 to 27 at Loyalist Country Club in Bath, Ontario.

 

Golf Québec would like to extend its sincere thanks to La Vallée du Richelieu Golf Club for its warm welcome and outstanding collaboration in hosting this competition, which once again gave Québec’s rising golf talent the opportunity to showcase their abilities.

 

Golf Québec’s next events will be the Provincial Senior Men’s Championship, held from August 10 to 12 at Summerlea Golf and Country Club, and the Provincial Junior Match Play Championship, held from August 17 to 19 at Knowlton Golf Club.
