Golf Québec is Hiring a Communications Coordinator

The Québec Golf Federation ("Golf Québec") is the governing body for golf, with a vision to be the leader and benchmark for golf in Québec. Its mission is to increase participation, develop excellence, promote, and govern the practice of golf.

It represents nearly 50,000 members in more than 250 clubs located in Québec and eastern Ontario. Golf Québec offers programs such as Sport-études golf, the Rules of Golf, course ratings, and the World Handicap System. Golf Québec also oversees various regional and provincial amateur competitions.

As part of its team evolution, Golf Québec is looking for an organized, creative, and versatile individual to fill the position of Communications Coordinator under the supervision of the Communications Director.

The person in this position will actively contribute to the implementation of Golf Québec’s communications, the management of newsletters, the rollout of marketing campaigns, the monitoring of partnerships, and the coordination of deliverables related to sponsorship agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop and implement the annual communications plan.
  • Ensure consistency in the organization's tone, image, and communications.
  • Manage the website.
  • Create content, manage, and update social media accounts in collaboration with the person in charge. 
  • Coordinate campaigns, including “Sortez, golfez” and “Do Your PARt”.
  • Write, edit, and distribute Golf Québec's newsletters.
  • Write and edit various types of content: promotional texts, official communications, documents, annual reports, project reviews, and presentations.
  • Monitor and execute the deliverables specified in sponsorship agreements.
  • Compile and analyze statistics related to newsletters, campaigns, partnerships, and marketing initiatives.
  • Support regional golf associations in managing their regional communication platforms.

 

Selection Criteria

  • Bilingualism (spoken and written French and English).
  • Extensive knowledge of traditional media and social media.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365.
  • Knowledge of graphic design, proficiency with Canva, and knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or equivalent software are a major asset.
  • Knowledge of video editing is a major asset.
  • Experience managing advertising campaigns through Meta is a plus.
  • Team spirit.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and autonomy.
  • Ability to effectively manage priorities and time.
  • Strategic vision and understanding of the market.
  • Valid driver's license in Québec.

Duration and Dates

  • This is a permanent position of 40 hours/week, with flexible hours depending on the season.

Salary and Conditions

  • Between $50,000 and $55,000 per year.
