Gisèle Carpentier to Head Golf Québec

Montréal, February 18, 2026 - The Québec Golf Federation (Golf Québec) is proud to announce that at its 106th Annual General Meeting held on Wednesday, February 18, Gisèle Carpentier was elected President for 2026, succeeding François Gagnon.
 
Mrs. Carpentier holds a bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in human resources management and finance. She has also completed certification in hospital management. She has held management positions in human resources in several healthcare establishments.
 
She joined the Federation's Board of Directors in 2020. She has chaired the Human Resources Committee since 2021 and has been a member of the Volunteer Involvement Committee since its inception in 2023.
 
As a member of Golf Le Mirage, she became involved in the ladies' committee and was captain for three years. She has set up various activities to encourage participation and the development of women's golf, as well as volunteering at numerous Golf Québec tournaments and activities. For more than ten years, she also sat on the Board of Directors of the Caisse du réseau de la santé as a member of the Audit Committee, the Ethics and Professional Conduct Committee and as a director.
 
"I am honoured to have been chosen as President of Golf Québec, a dynamic, forward-looking organization that can count on competent staff and volunteers dedicated to the promotion and development of golf in the province. I would like to highlight the exemplary commitment of my predecessor, François Gagnon, who served on the Board of Directors for nine years and who has kindly agreed to continue to provide us with his valuable advice as outgoing president," said Gisèle Carpentier.
 
In 2026, Mrs. Carpentier's team on the Board of Directors will consist of:
 
  • Jean-Guy Gourdeau (Vice-President), an individual member in good standing of a member club, Royal Montreal.
  • Ève Gaudet (Secretary), seat reserved for the Association des clubs de golf du Québec (ACGQ), Montcalm.
  • Denis Pinsonneault (Treasurer), individual member in good standing of a member club, Vallée du Richelieu.
  • Eve-Lyne Biron, individual member in good standing of a member club, Mount Bruno Country Club.
  • Alexandre Charron, reserved seat for the Canadian Golf Club Owners Association - Québec Chapter, Centre de golf de Lanaudière.
  • Sylvain Gaudet, seat reserved for the PGA of Canada, Québec Zone.
  • Éric Lallier, individual member in good standing of a member club, Country Club of Montreal.
  • Serge Lafontaine, reserved seat on the Regional Association Council (RAC), Royal Ottawa.
  • Marie-Pier Poulin-Breton, individual member in good standing of a member club, FlexiGolf.
  • Paula Shannon, individual member in good standing of a member club, Royal Montreal.
