Role of the Board of Directors

Our directors are all volunteers, and we ask them to actively participate in each of the eight (8) meetings scheduled throughout the year. Meetings are held in French, and are mostly scheduled for late weekday afternoons. About one third of the meetings are held in person, at the Maison du Loisir et du Sport or at a golf club, and the rest are organized by videoconference.

Board members are also expected to attend Golf Québec's Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, by videoconference.

The nomination process is divided into three (3) steps:

RECRUITING PERIOD

Individuals interested in joining the Golf Québec Board of Directors as of February 2026 will need to fill out a volunteer form from October 1 to November 1, 2025. Don't forget to include your curriculum vitae* and a recent digital photo* showing only you.

* Please note that sending attachments is easier to manage on a desktop or laptop than on a tablet or cell phone.

FILE ANALYSIS

After verification, those eligible to sit on the Golf Québec Board of Directors will be contacted to complete their file. At this stage, they must complete a competency chart and a declaration of interests.

In the following weeks, the Nominating Committee will finalize its analysis. The committee will determine who will be invited for interviews. Those selected at this final stage of the process will be required to provide the results of a background check.

FINALIZING THE PROCESS

The Nominating Committee will then be able to prepare its report and present its recommendations before mid-January 2026, in preparation for the Annual General Meeting.
