Montréal, August 4, 2025 – A total of 10 golf events were on the program for the Finales des Jeux du Québec, held July 30 to August 1 at the Ki-8-Eb Golf Club in Trois-Rivières. Athletes from the Rive-Sud region really stood out, winning eight medals, led by Lia Bouthillier and Raphaelle Provost, champions in the juvenile category, two-ball, best-ball event, with a total score of 58.
Bouthillier also carded a hole in one on the 9th hole, allowing her team to extend its lead at that point.
Catherine Dumoulin and Sophie P. Raymond, from Laval, finished second, just ahead of Zixuan Tan, from Montréal, who was alone on the podium for this team event.
In addition to all these medals, the South Shore delegation was awarded the Ethics in Sport banner for golf during the various competitions.
Bouthillier and Provost won a second team medal for their region in the Vegas two-person competition, where they tied for third place with Victoria Roy and Alycia St-Gelais from Capitale-Nationale. Lorie Rosa and Victoria Jacques (Lanaudière) won gold ahead of Laurianne Payer and Mylee Murillo Beaudoin from the Laurentides region.
Lia Bouthillier also made the podium in the junior individual event, finishing in second place, tied with Zixuan Tan. Lorie Rosa (Lanaudière) won this category.
Also representing Rive-Sud, Adam Lauzon won three medals in as many days in the boys' competition. He finished second in the individual event in the bantam category, as he did in the Vegas doubles event alongside his teammate Raphael Cousineau. The duo also won a bronze medal in the two-ball, best-ball event.
Charli Bouchard and Jacob Normandeau won the Rive Sud region's fourth silver medal with their second-place finish in the junior doubles in Vegas. Bouchard also took third place in the individual competition in his category.
Also noteworthy are the three gold medals won by the Laurentides region, the highest total for the three days of competition. Jeremie Hebert and Anthony Pellerin won the bantam doubles in Vegas, and Hebert was once again crowned champion in the individual competition. The other gold medal went to Mylee Murillo Beaudoin in the bantam category.
Lucas Simoneau and Tristan Martel (two-ball, best-ball, bantam), along with Frédéric Bergeron and Charles Cloutier (two-man Vegas, juvenile) won two gold medals for the Mauricie delegation.
Louis-Olivier St-Pierre, from the Est-du-Québec region, won the individual gold medal in the junior boys' category, in addition to finishing third in the two-ball, best-ball competition with his partner, Charles Lizotte.
In the same category, Zach Leclerc and Noah Moreau climbed to the top step of the podium, bringing home a gold medal for the Chaudière-Appalaches region. They continued their momentum the next day, finishing second in Vegas in pairs.
