The Québec Golf Federation (Golf Québec) is the governing body for golf and its vision is to be the leader and reference for the practice of golf in Québec. Its mission is to increase participation, develop excellence, promote the game, and govern the practice of golf.
 
It represents more than 46,000 members in nearly 260 clubs in Québec and Eastern Ontario. Golf Québec offers programs such as First Tee - Premier départ Québec, rules of golf, course ratings, and the World Handicap System. Golf Québec also oversees various regional and provincial amateur competitions.

Golf Québec is looking for a dynamic individual to join its member services team. Reporting to the Executive Director, the successful candidate will manage volunteers and work with member clubs to provide course rating and handicap services.
This person has experience and demonstrates excellent administrative, customer service, volunteer management, and communication skills. This person is motivated and a team player.

Tasks description
  • Manage course rating and handicap services.
    • Elaborate and implement development strategies, structures, procedures for the delivery of course ratings, handicap services, training, and volunteer recruitment.
    • Plan identified calendar events according to the established structure and in accordance with USGA methodology.
    • Communicate with scheduled clubs to provide information throughout the process.
    • Assign a team of volunteers for each club on the schedule.
    • Conduct course ratings.
  • Coordinate and facilitate handicap and course rating training seminars and webinars (book meeting rooms, reserve hotel rooms for instructors, schedule food services, mail out training support materials).
  • Oversee the Course Rating and Handicap Committee and support them in writing and formatting presentations and training tools.
  • Plan the Course Rating and Handicap Committee meetings (book meeting rooms, prepare of documentation, write meeting summaries).
  • Manage and update databases.
  • Update the course rating and handicap sections of the website.
  • Oversee the posting and answer questions in the private Facebook groups of the Course Rating and Handicap Committee and of our member club captains.
  • Attend meetings with the various departments of Golf Québec and our national partner, Golf Canada.
Requirements
  • Bilingualism, both spoken and written (French and English).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • General knowledge of the golf industry is an asset.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and video conferencing software.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to effectively manage priorities and time.
  • Ability to travel, territory to serve (Québec and Ontario).
  • Valid driver's license in Québec.

Duration and dates
