2012 Volunteer of the Year: Cathy Fortin
In 2012, Golf Québec would like to highlight the exceptional contribution of Cathy Fortin, a volunteer of the Saguenay/Lac St-Jean/Chibougamau region. She coordinated and lead the organizing committee of the Women’s Provincial Championship held from July 9 to 11 at the Club de golf de Chicoutimi. Supported by 60 volunteers, she contributed to the success of this event which was greatly appreciated by amateur and senior golfers as well as by the regional community. Everything went well from the schedule and transportation to services rendered to golfers and official dinner. As owner of Au chef Extra, a catering service in Chicoutimi, she contributed to the successful dinner-cocktail and food services that led to raising funds to improve the Chicoutimi golf course.
