Jacques Sévigny accepts his plaque presented

A member of the Continental Golf Club, Jacques Sévigny has been a dedicated volunteer of the Montréal region since 2007.

A level-4 certified rules official, he is always available for regional tournaments and provincial championships in which he works as an official, but also as a starter, scorer, or in any other functions where he can help. As a matter of fact, in 2008, his outstanding support was instrumental to the great success of our Boys’ and Girls’ Provincial Junior Championship presented at his golf club.

For the longest time, Jacques was in charge of all inter-sectional matches held in the Montréal district. He is now focusing more specifically on the boys’ inter-sectional events.

Far from being satisfied with the very busy schedule of his volunteering activities on the course, Jacques is also in charge of the Montréal Regional Association’s website, of updating their Facebook and Twitter social networks, and of maintaining the regional BlueGolf tournament registration system.

You would think that this man is really busy? Yes, he is! Hard work doesn’t faze him at all. And for those of you who would still have doubts, his engaging and friendly smile should convince you that the volunteer experience is truly worth it at Golf Québec!
