1920 | Foundation of the Québec Golf Association (QGA)
In Québec, the organization that would become the federation known as Golf Québec was founded on April 5, 1920. It was then named the Province of Quebec Golf Association (PQGA), and its creation enabled clubs in the Montréal, Québec City, and Ottawa regions to take advantage of golf governance and development services. Its founding clubs were the Country Club of Montréal, Beaconsfield, Kanawaki, Laval-sur-le-Lac, Outremont, Royal Montréal, and Whitlock.

1921 | Foundation of the Canadian Ladies Golf Association (CLGA)
On the women's side, the Canadian Ladies Golf Association held its first annual meeting on September 23, 1920, in Hamilton. It was then that the first discussions took place on the formation of a provincial branch with the CLGU - Québec Branch, which was created on April 13, 1921, under the leadership of Montrealer Miss Beverly Robinson. From that moment on, women's clubs in the province could stand on their own two feet instead of depending on a national committee.

1996 | Creation of the Québec Golf Hall of Fame
The Québec Golf Hall of Fame was conceived by three past presidents of the Québec Golf Association (QGA), Mr. Larry Boyle, Maurice Dagenais and Roger Legault. Their desire was to pay homage to the many great Québec players and builders who have distinguished themselves provincially, nationally or internationally, and of which 10 were inducted during the inaugural ceremony of 1996.

1999 | Foundation of the Fédération québécoise de golf (FQG)
The first Fédération québécoise de golf (FQG) was founded in 1999, under the presidency of Jean Trudeau, who was the Executive Director of the Association des golfeurs professionnels du Québec (AGP) and whose professional teaching members had the necessary certifications to work in recognized Sport-études golf programs. To meet its status as a federation, the new organization was governed by a board composed of representatives from the AGP of Québec, the QGA, and the CLGA – Québec Branch.
