Golf Québec is proud to announce the official launch of the Junior Skills Tour, designed to develop the technical skills of young golfers aged 14 and under. The program, inspired by Golf Canada's Junior Skills Challenge, focuses on the three fundamental elements of golf: Driving, Chipping and Putting. The Junior Skills Tour includes 5 qualifying sites and a provincial final to be held in conjunction with the Victoriaville-Fenergic Canada Cup on August 10.
Qualifiers Selection Criteria
This competition is open to all golfers aged 14 and under as of August 1, whether or not they are members of Golf Québec. Participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The maximum capacity for a qualification is 96 participants, i.e. 12 boys and 12 girls per division. Should a category be incomplete after the registration deadline, Golf Québec reserves the right to fill the field. Athletes may register for more than one qualification, regardless of region. Participants who have already qualified are not eligible to participate in another qualifying round if their division is full.
Finals Selection Criteria
The winners of each division at each qualifying site will receive a pass to the final. An invitation will then be sent to them by Golf Québec, including exclusive access for registration. If places are still available after the 5 qualifiers, Golf Québec reserves the right to fill or not the quota based on the results of the qualifiers.
Tie-Breakers
In the event of a tie, the winner will be decided on the basis of the following tie-breakers:
-
Putt ranking
-
Chip ranking
-
Drive ranking
-
Players' ages will be determined as of August 1, 2025.
